Reporting a concern
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
For a non-emergency safeguarding concern relating to Eights & Arrows Pathways CIC, email contact@eightsandarrows.org.uk and use the subject line “Safeguarding concern - FAO Anna Goodwin”.
If your concern relates to the Safeguarding Lead, use the same organisational email address with the subject line “Confidential safeguarding concern - for Board review” so the concern is identified for escalation rather than ordinary programme handling.
Our commitment
- maintain safeguarding and reporting procedures appropriate to our activities;
- use appropriate checks, training and supervision for people working with children, young people or adults at risk;
- consider safeguarding in session, venue, travel and event planning;
- support inclusive participation and reasonable adjustments;
- use clear codes of conduct for participants, coaches, volunteers, parents/carers and partners;
- handle concerns as confidentially as possible, while recognising that information may need to be shared to protect someone or meet a legal obligation.
What happens when a concern is raised
Concerns are triaged and handled under the organisation’s safeguarding procedures. Eights & Arrows does not investigate suspected criminal offences itself; where appropriate, information may be referred to the relevant statutory or safeguarding authority.
Children and young people
Activities involving under-18s require age-appropriate safeguarding arrangements. Ordinary feedback forms are not intended to solicit detailed information about abuse, sexual activity, eating disorders, self-harm or other highly sensitive matters. If a safeguarding concern is disclosed through another route, it is still treated as a safeguarding matter.
Policies
Safeguarding and related governance policies are available on request through the organisation’s contact route. This public page provides the current reporting information for website users.
