Safeguarding statement

Eights & Arrows Pathways CIC is committed to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive cue sports and darts opportunities for children, young people and adults at risk.

Before publishing: add the name/contact details of your Designated Safeguarding Lead, final reporting route, policy PDF and emergency procedure.

Our commitment

We believe everyone has the right to participate in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. We will take reasonable steps to prevent harm, respond to concerns, support participants and work with appropriate agencies where needed.

What this means in practice

  • clear safeguarding policies and reporting procedures;
  • appropriate checks, training and supervision for people working with children, young people or adults at risk;
  • risk assessments for sessions, venues, travel and events;
  • inclusive planning for disabled participants and those with additional needs;
  • clear codes of conduct for participants, coaches, volunteers, parents/carers and partners;
  • confidential handling of concerns, with information shared only where necessary to protect people or meet legal obligations.
