Eights & Arrows Pathways CIC is being developed as a community interest company focused on grassroots participation, athlete development and inclusive opportunity in cue sports and darts.
We aim to support women and girls, young people, disabled participants, underrepresented communities, grassroots players, teams and aspiring athletes through structured programmes and clear, fair access to support.
Our wider purpose is not only sporting success. We want to build confidence, wellbeing, resilience, leadership, community connection and progression routes for people who may otherwise be left out.
What we deliver
Programmes designed around participation, progression and practical support.
Our activities can be delivered through partner venues, clubs, schools, community organisations, coaches, volunteers and future Eights & Arrows branches.
Women & girls development
Inclusive ladies’ and girls’ sessions, taster days, confidence-building activity and pathways into regular participation and competition.
Youth pathways
Safe, structured youth sessions that help young people learn skills, develop focus and access positive role models.
Disability-inclusive access
Adapted sessions, access planning, venue support and practical considerations for participants with disabilities or impairments.
Athlete support funds
Subject to eligibility and available funds, support may include grants, bursaries, equipment, coaching, facility access, travel or tournament costs.
Outreach & participation days
Taster sessions, community events and participation days designed to introduce new people to cue sports and darts in welcoming spaces.

International research into participation, retention, progression, competition and the practical support women and girls want from cue sports.

Women’s Challenges Centre
Evidence-informed resources covering periods and sport, menopause, disability and access, neurodiversity, inequality and evidence literacy. REDs and pregnancy/postnatal/loss remain under additional review.
Evidence status: available Phase 1 resources have completed Eights & Arrows’ internal evidence review. Unless expressly stated, they have not been individually clinically reviewed. The Centre provides general information and practical sport guidance, not individual healthcare.
WOMEN & GIRLS CUE SPORTS RESEARCH
Help shape what happens next.
The international women’s survey is open to women aged 18 or over who currently participate, previously participated or are trying to access cue sports.
The girls’ survey is a controlled safeguarding pilot for girls aged 13 to 17 in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. Access is issued only through approved accountable organisations.

Community Sports Equipment Bank
Give sport a second chance.
Our Equipment Bank collects usable sports equipment, supports refurbishment and redistribution, and helps reduce the cost barriers that can stop people taking part.
Donate equipment, ask about support, or explore how equipment can be reused to create more opportunities in sport.

Applications and expressions of interest will be assessed against published eligibility criteria, available funds and the intended impact of the support.

Founder & Director
Emma Cunningham
Emma founded Eights & Arrows Pathways CIC to create inclusive access, support and development routes across cue sports and darts.
As a six-time World Champion, Emma brings lived experience of elite competition, grassroots barriers, travel costs, sponsorship challenges and the need for fairer opportunities.
Director & Safeguarding Lead
Anna Goodwin
Anna Goodwin supports the board as Safeguarding Lead and brings respected experience from the pool world, including governance and administration experience.
Anna is an advocate for the Eights & Arrows Pathways vision and will help strengthen safe, inclusive delivery as the organisation develops.

The board's role is to help Eights & Arrows Pathways CIC stay safe, transparent, inclusive and focused on community benefit. This includes safeguarding, responsible decision-making, fair access to support, good governance and clear impact reporting.
