Practice principle

Make participation easier without making assumptions about the woman.

Facilities

  • Drinking water is readily available.
  • Toilets are clean, usable and include sanitary disposal.
  • Ventilation/temperature can be managed where reasonably possible.
  • Seating/rest options are available during long events.
  • A private/multi-use welfare space is available where feasible.

Event design

  • Schedules are communicated clearly.
  • Reasonable breaks are possible.
  • Late finishes and long waits are considered in welfare planning.
  • Participants can use appropriate clothing/layers where rules permit.

Privacy

  • There is a private route for requesting an adjustment.
  • General forms do not ask menopause status without a justified purpose.
  • Staff record only what they need to deliver an agreed adjustment.

Culture

  • No age/menopause ridicule.
  • No assumption that concentration, memory or competence is reduced.
  • No assumption that women want social-only provision.
  • Competitive, coaching, officiating and leadership routes remain visible.

Ten minimum checks

Water · toilets · sanitary disposal · breaks · ventilation · seating · private support route · flexibility · staff awareness · no ridicule or assumptions.

Development practice framework only — not accreditation.
